New Deal

New Deal

The muse has said I don't have to write things down.

If I can think through the piece, in words, from beginning to end,

then pen, paper, typing, need not be involved.

So this morning – 15th Jan – in bed, I wrote a poem

dreamy romantic

It flowed from descriptive into surreal

and then words 

with good sounds

assembled into grammatically correct but nonsense phrases

and back again

I knew I would destroy it if I got up to write

but the words were there

precisely

I think it was a beautiful poem

I hope you enjoyed it
